Public Works PS Hon. Joel Arumonyang Presides Over Performance Contract Signing Ceremony for FY 2024/2025 With Heads of Departments

In a move to bolster transparency and efficiency within the built environment sector, the Principal Secretary for Public Works, Mr. Joel Arumonyang, presided over the signing of performance contracts for FY 2024/2025 with Heads of Directorates under the State Department for Public Works. The event took place at the Works Building in Nairobi.

The signing ceremony marked a significant milestone in the Department’s commitment to enhancing accountability and service delivery. By institutionalizing performance contracts, the State Department aims to foster a culture of responsibility, results-based management, and continuous improvement across all its directorates.

Speaking during the event, PS Arumonyang underscored the critical role of performance contracts in aligning departmental activities with Kenya’s national development goals. “Performance contracts are a key tool in holding public officers accountable,” he noted. “They ensure that our efforts are measurable, transparent, and ultimately geared towards delivering better outcomes for all Kenyans.”

Performance Contracts set clear performance indicators and expectations, paving the way for more structured evaluations and enhanced public sector efficiency.
