Soils drawn from Mukurweini, Nyeri, and Makueni, Machakos were sampled and analysed for viability and suitability for industrial productions. The design of ceramic products by students was developed based on ergonomic considerations. Through moulding, casting, drying glazing, and appropriate kilning, a scale 1:1 prototype of a Ceramic Toilet was achieved. The product and Research report forms the findings disseminated to various stakeholders in the building industry and on display at KBRC.
