Site Handover at Luanda Cotton Ginnery, Funyula, Busia County on 10th July,2025

An official site visit and meeting was conducted by the Engineering team from the State Department for Public Works led by Eng. Boniface Karobia (Chief Engineer -  Mechanical BS), together with the client (State Department for Cooperatives), user representatives, and the contractor, to mark the handover of the completed works.

This milestone concludes a three-phase project aimed at reviving the Cotton Ginnery: refurbishing the factory, installing modern machinery, and training skilled personnel.

The revitalized facility is expected to boost the local economy by reigniting cotton farming, enhancing production and processing, and creating employment through the production of high-quality cotton bales.
