Site Visit on building progress of Tuition block for Kenya Institute for Surveying and Mapping

On 24th April 2025, a team of officers from the State Department for Public Works, project consultants, the client, together with the main contractor visited the ongoing construction project of a tuition block for the Kenya Institute for Surveying and Mapping (KISM), off Thika Super Highway, Nairobi.

The project entails the construction of 16 classrooms,  4 laboratories,  an auditorium and administrative office block with kitchen facilities.  It is expected to accommodate approximately 700 students when fully operational, targeting next year's student intake. 

The project is being undertaken by the Ministry of Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development.
