Fire Marshal Training at Kenya School of Government held at Baringo from 10th to.
The objectives of the training were to promote a safety culture and help participants avert probable chances of fire occurrences at the workplace, enhance business continuity at the workplace for both staff and the general public, impact knowledge to participants who will in return disseminate the same knowledge to other staff members, their families and the general public.
Participants were taken through various topics ranging from chemistry of combustion, causes of fire, classification of fire, portable fire equipment, inspection of fire fighting equipment, spread and progression of fire, rules of firefighting, handling flammable and combustible materials, fire risk assessment and a walk through the campus building premises, evacuation procedures and case studies, First Aid (BLS), Live fire demonstration using portable and fixed fire protection appliances and hands on experience with the fire engine.
