Completion Of Olkokwe Health Centre

The completion of Olkokwe Health Centre (Kisanana Ward, Mogotio Constituency, Baringo County) which had stalled for almost ten years, is set to be finalized in the next few months. The preparation of Bill of Quantities by experts from the State Department for Public Works is being finalized before the project goes out for tendering. Architect Rioba from the State Department and Kisanana Ward MCA, Hon. Jacob Cheboiwo visited the facility to assess the extent of work required before the official tendering process.

The project addresses the concept of universal health coverage (UHC) and aims to provide health services to all people and ensure:

1. Everyone has access to quality health services

2. Protection of patients from high medical costs

3. Prevention, treatment and rehabilitation

The project will lead to improved health outcomes, reduced health financial burden and equity in access to health care.
