Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Seminar

The Principal Secretary for The State Department for Public Works,Mr.Joel Arumonyang today has officially opened a two-day Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Seminar at Safari Park Hotel,Nairobi.
The seminar which is organised by the Board Of Registration for Architects and Quantity Surveyors(BORAQS) has brought together stakeholders in the construction industry from both Kenya and the larger East African Region.
The seminar is themed " The Built Environment and Climate Change;Achieving a Sustainable Built Environment."
Climate change is a major challenge globally and this calls for the built environment to come up with intervention measures which will ensure that we achieve integrity in the construction industry.
The seminar aims to:
1) Sensitize Built Environment Professionals and other Stakeholders on the
Challenges of Climate Change to the Built Environment.
2) Appreciate the Legal and Institutional Frameworks that Overarch
the Built Environment regionally and internationally.
3)Discuss the Challenges, Experiences and Mitigations towards a climate
change sustainable environment.
